We are a group of passionate people who want to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and included in their community. We value people as individuals and recognise that every person has something to offer to their community.
We come from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We take the work we do seriously but we also know how to have fun.
Manager, Individualised Services
Manager, Individualised Services
Karla has been an institution within the organisation. She’s worked for Australian Inclusion Network’s sister organisation, Inclusion WA, since 2012. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge as AIN’s Manager. She is an amazing asset and has worked as a Mentor, Coordinator and Manager in her time with Inclusion WA. She has real life, successful experience in working alongside people with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals.
Karla loves her amazingly large family and is a big motivator on where she lives. She lived in Perth for 14 years surrounded by her cousins. She is now moving closer to her siblings in Brisbane which also happens to be a stone’s throw away from New Zealand where the rest of her family is. She is a really social person and is passionate about the work Australian Inclusion Network does as it aligns with her own beliefs and values.
Karla, if given the chance to have a superpower, would like to be able to teleport. She wants to have the ability to visit her family in New Zealand and America whenever she feels like it.
Karla is our passionate resident baker. You can usually find her in the kitchen during her spare time trying out new recipes. She says that baking helps her unwind and relax. To say that her co-workers appreciate all of the yummy treats sitting on the office table on a Monday morning is an understatement.
Another great love of Karla’s is music where she loves a variety of songs. Her songs of choice are determined by her mood. It's all about the rhythm and the task at hand!

Leanne started her journey with Australian Inclusion Network in early 2022 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her 25+ years in the sector.
When Leanne saw the role advertised for a Coordinator of Individualised Services, she knew she just had to apply. Having been in the sector since 1996 she has seen first-hand what poor service can do to someone living with a disability. She felt compelled to work for an organisation that has shared values and a commitment to supporting people at risk of social exclusion to live a good life.
Hailing from New Zealand, Leanne moved over in 1989 when she was 18. She soon met her late husband Bill who was in a wheelchair due to Muscular Dystrophy. They spent much time together lobbying and supporting those living with a disability in the community. Leanne and Bill had two children together, with the youngest diagnosed with Autism and ADHD when he was just three years old. Sadly, Bill passed in 2014. Leanne’s life experiences cemented her passion for the sector and wouldn’t change her past for the world.
“To see clients smiling faces because they are happy and having a good life is so rewarding, I just want to keep giving more.”
Leanne got engaged again in 2022 and enjoys travelling back to New Zealand whenever possible. A lover of outdoor activities including the beach, bush walking and bike riding. She is also a history and art lover.

Eloise first stumbled upon an ad on Seek for Inclusion WA, Australian Inclusion Network’s sister organisation, in 2016. She has been with the Australian Inclusion Group family for four years and has worked both as a Mentor and Coordinator over this time. She loved being a mentor and working alongside people with disability. Eloise quickly progressed within the group and she became a Services Coordinator. After 7 years of being in Perth, WA with her partner, they both decided to move back to QLD in 2019.
Eloise was offered to stay with the Australian Inclusion Group and work remotely from QLD. She has been key in setting-up the Australian Inclusion Network in Brisbane’s Northern suburbs.
Eloise loves to help people and her passions outside of work include food, nutrition, and coding. She has a strong love for animals, particularly birds. She is an avid home cook and loves to entertain her friends by cooking for them. In a previous life, Eloise was a cooking teacher. She finds joy in cooking and educating others about food.
If Eloise was to pick a super power it would be to time travel so that she could witness all the amazing moments in history.
Throughout her life she has always been someone who gives without expecting anything in return. It has always given Eloise joy to see people around her thrive as they work on themselves.

For as long as Emma can remember she has been passionate about helping those around her, always knowing she wanted to work in an industry that allows her to support others. She believes that people should be given the chance to reach their greatest potential, however, knows that often many fall through the cracks. Emma joined Australian Inclusion Network as she wanted to be a part of working towards mending those cracks.
“I have had significant barriers throughout my own life, so understand first-hand how hard it can be and how valuable good support is in enabling a person’s success.”
She loves to travel, explore new places and learn about different cultures. She prides herself on remaining active, often spending her free time at the gym, doing yoga or going on hikes. Emma is a lover of all things creative, from art to music, to theatre and anything in between – even dabbling in painting.
